You can make this tasty hamburger soup even faster using it.chop frozen mixed vegetables instead of vegetables. I didn't use them in this recipe because I don't like lima beans and didn't feel like picking them.
When I was a child, I was sure that bad things would happen to me if I ate beans. I wasn't sure what would happen to me, but there was no way she could eat them to know the consequences.
It took me a few minutes to sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil because the onion and garlicTasteOil. This oil will flavor everything else in the pan! But if you're in a hurry, you can skip the frying step.

How to Make Easy Instant Pot Hamburger Soup in 20 Minutes!
I suggest using 85% or higher lean ground beef, because if you use a fattier ground beef it will be too fatty, but if that's how you like it, go for it. As you can see below, using the Instant Pot is the fastest way to make this soup and it's just one of the reasons I love mine.instant pot!

Instructions:
- First, add the olive oil, minced onion, and minced garlic to the Instant Pot and set the sauté setting for 3 minutes. To mix
- Then add the remaining ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Then put the lid on the Instant Pot and place it on the high pressure setting for 15 minutes.
- When the timer goes off, naturally release the pressure for a few minutes. Then release the residual pressure with the bleeder valve until the metal gauge goes down. If it is safe to open the lid, do so carefully. Stir again, remove the bay leaf and voila! You can add extra salt, but try it first while the broth and tomatoes are salty.
Note: This soup tastes best when it is in its juices.

Cooking time: 40 minutes
- First, in a Dutch oven or large pot over medium/high heat, add the olive oil, minced onion, and minced garlic. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Add the ground beef and break it into pieces. Let it brown for about 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients and increase the heat to high. Stir and when it boils, bring to medium heat and cover. Stir every 10-15 minutes.
- Let the soup cook for another 30 minutes. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
Slow Cooker Instructions:
- In a 4-6 qt slow cooker, add the olive oil, minced onion, and minced garlic first, followed by the ground beef. Break the ground beef into small pieces.

- Then put the slow cooker on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 hours. Remove the bay leaf before serving.

- Use ground turkey or a mixture of ground beef and ground pork.
- Add 3 cups of frozen mixed vegetables or frozen soup vegetables in place of potatoes, carrots, corn, and green beans. However, add the chopped onions and minced garlic as directed.
- Add diced green bell peppers instead of green beans.
- Add 1/2 cup of snap peas in place of 1 cup of green beans.
- Use vegetable broth instead of beef broth.
- Skip the potatoes and corn for a low carb soup.
