Crispy Baked Pork Chops Recipe
These roasted pork chops are delicious. You'll never believe it's actually a fluffy version of a fried pork chop or schnitzel. Made with just a few simple ingredients, it's a food we eat all the time.
Easy and delicious, these crispy pork loin chops will quickly become a favorite on your weekly menus.
The basic concept couldn't be simpler: coat the pork in a thin layer of mustard, top with seasoned breadcrumbs and lightly brown.
What I really love about this recipe though is the many ways you can make it your own. Use a different type of mustard, try jam or marmalade, use Thai sweet chili sauce, switch to eggs or buttermilk, the possibilities are endless.
By changing the breading of the pork and seasoning the breadcrumbs, you can make many different dishes.
Well, before anyone asks, this can definitely be made with chicken. I like to make it with pork because we don't eat it that much, but I know that there are a lot of people who don't eat pork or prefer chicken. Chicken breast fillet or sliced chicken breast works best for the recipe. It's also a big hit with the kids. I mean, it's basically soft roast chicken.
How long does it take to bake lean pork chops?
Crispy pork chops take about 15 minutes to cook in total. First of all, you should start by browning them in a pan so that the outside gets a nice brown color. They are ready in 8 to 10 minutes in the oven at 450 degrees. If you just want to bake them, place them on a prepared baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 13-15 minutes. Depending on the thickness of the pork, the cooking time may vary slightly.
What cut of meat is used for pork chops?
Typically, pork loin is used for pork chops, as you want a lean, lean, and tender cut. The loin is the most tender part of the meat and is therefore ideal for preparing chops.
How do you prepare pork schnitzel?
Traditionally, pork chops are fried in vegetable oil or in a deep fryer. To spice things up, this rib roast recipe starts off in a hot skillet so the outer covering gets really crispy. The pork is finished cooking in the oven until cooked through.
serving ideas
There are so many different ways to use these chops. They're delicious on their own, but you can also get really creative. To hold:
- Pork Parmesan – Instead of chicken, you can make this traditional Italian dish with lean pork. Make the chops, cover them with the marinara sauce and add the mozzarella cheese.
- Sandwiches – These make the tastiest sandwiches. Add pickles, Swiss cheese, Dijon mustard, lettuce and tomato. Delicious. You can also make an Italian parmesan sandwich with marinara sauce and cheese.
- Salads – Grab a big bowl of vegetables and add tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, apples and moreSkinny-Ranch-Vestir.
- With Dipping Sauce: Instead of making the chicken tenders, cut the pork into strips and make the pork tenders. Serve with ketchup, honey mustard, ranch dressing or any of your favorite sauces.
Roasted pork chops recipe ideas
- Dijon Mustard and Thyme: This is the version I included in the recipe. It's a classic combination and has just the right amount of spice and bold herbal flavors.
- Thai Sweet Chili Sauce and Shredded Coconut: Substitute the mustard for Thai Sweet Chili Sauce and add some shredded coconut to the panko breadcrumbs.
- Buffalo Ranch Sauce: Use Buffalo Sauce in place of mustard and add dry seasoning to breadcrumbs.
- Italian Sauce and Seasoning: Use a light Italian seasoning to coat the pork, then add some Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to the breading.
- Eggs and Cajun Seasoning: Coat the pork in a traditional egg wash and add plenty of Cajun seasoning to the panko breadcrumbs.
- Barbecue Sauce and Grilling Seasoning: Brush the pork with barbecue sauce and add a little grilling seasoning to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Orange and rosemary: Lightly brush the pork with orange marmalade and add a little rosemary to the breading.
- Pesto and Parmesan – Coat the pork with a store-bought pesto sauce and mix some Parmesan into the panko.

I have a question about 1 tbsp of olive oil. What do you think is 1.67 pounds of pork? I think I'm doing something wrong because it seems like 1 Tbsp is absorbed before I can flip the pork. I love love love these flavors, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue, plus the crumbs wouldn't stick to the pork after it was roasted. I love the flavors but could you add egg next time to see if that helps?

I didn't have that problem! Maybe try a combination of olive oil and cooking spray.

That was fabulous. For one of their replacements, I opted for the sweet Thai coconut sauce mixed with the panko. I could have any pork loin. This is a new bookmark for your site. It was great to try something other than chicken. I ask you guys to post more recipes as I am fed up with Crockpot WW recipes. This was absolutely delicious... of course my husband had 3 chops. Grrrrr. Thanks to my favorite website "go to" WW.
